Tinies Childcare

Happy little ones means happy parents! Put simply, providing childcare for those of your friends whom you have asked to bring their children to your wedding will allow those parents to enjoy the day without worrying. The children will have a great time! For you, of course, it does also remove the risks of interrupted ceremonies, speeches and spilt drinks!

My name is Claire Adams and I am the Franchise Owner of 5 Tinies franchise in the UK, Bucks, Berks, Herts, and Hampshire & Dorset. I live locally in Buckinghamshire and employ a Nanny for my daughter aged 18 months, so I understand how important childcare choices are. I started out my career at Tinies as a Childcare Consultant back in January 2000, and have been responsible for launching and establishing Tinies franchises in the Home Counties. I have a staff team of 11 to help support and manage our daily operation.

What qualifications do you have?

BTEC National Diploma in Childcare

How many people would you usually staff at an event?

For 16 children we would provide 4 members of staff.

What are you expecting see more mainstream/more common in the next year or two?

There are a few trends we see becoming more and more prevalent. With the costs of group childcare on the rise more and more families will look to in home care as a more cost effective solution (either if they have two children or they share with a neighbour) We see the use of crèches at weddings on the rise as people get married later in life and bring children to the relationship.

If you were getting married, how would you cater for children on your big day?

I would love to offer a designated activities area which could be open from the ceremony until the evening. The designated room would be set up with separate “Zones” for the different ages. Suggested activities included: Baby Zone – incorporating soft play, small toys, changing & feeding facilities Toddler Zone – interactive toys, walkers and creative play The older children a programme of activities that included t-shirt & ceramic painting; Lego challenges and various board games and sport activities. In the evening the baby area to become a designated sleeping zone & a soft seated area set up to allow children to relax, where story time and quiet activities could be run. Additional activities to be offered for the more energetic children in another room and include craft activities and quizzes.

Testimonial:

You did an incredible job, we just can’t thank you enough. Without exception, the parents were just blown away by how easily you engaged the children from the minute you arrived and continued to do so throughout the day.
