Hello – Sarah here, founder & lead floral designer of The Way to Bloom. I am an American florist living and thriving here in the UK creating beautiful wedding/event flowers. With experience in over 80+ weddings and former experience in the fashion industry – my creativity, skill level, and attention to detail is something I pride myself on..
Here at The Way to Bloom, we promise to provide an inclusive experience for all,
regardless of gender identity, age, race, relationship status, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, and religion.
Love is love – always.

My absolute favourite would have to be cosmos. Cosmos are the most dancy, whimsical bloom that make any and every arrangement look so romantic. Plus, it is a resilient flower which is helpful to last through the day – but it also represents resilience with the way it grows; it means balance & harmony, as well – something I try to do in my floral arrangements.
The Way to Bloom specializes in whimsical, romantic arrangements with elegant, modern twists in the flower choices and/or colour palette. We LOVE working with colour – it is quickly becoming our speciality.
The Way to Bloom’s number one value is: connection. Through getting to know my couple’s on a personal level, I am better able to organically bring their flower vision to life and make it a trusting process. My goal is that no one couple will ever feel like just ‘another wedding.’ I make myself available to couples for venue visits, Zoom chats, colour consultations, and
eventually provide my personal number for convenience. I enjoy helping couples with other elements of their wedding, such as vendor recommendations, advice from my own wedding (many lessons learned), and invaluable tips from my experience in the wedding industry.
My portfolio showcases my talent and style, which I believe will speak for itself and make me an excellent choice for your special day. As a caring, attentive, and detailed florist, I make the floral experience fun, beautiful and take some of the stress out of your planning process!
With booking wedding vendors the sooner – the better, as we book up fast! If you can, book about a year out from your date, as we will more likely have availability; if you can do 1.5 years, do that. At a push, with availability, you can still book with us up until 3 months away from your date.
The Way to Bloom is an extremely hard working group of florists who focus on the little details when it comes to events. It is important that every couple feels heard, seen, and like their day matters to us, as much as it does to them. We prefer to focus on one wedding a day so that we can be as attentive as we need to be for our couples. Sarah will always want to be there on the day to say ‘hello’, deliver the wedding party flowers, and oversee the execution of her team so everything aligns as discussed.
In-person or Zoom consultations are key when it comes to wedding flowers. By getting to chat with you as a couple, I get to know all the information LIVE and am able to ask follow-up questions that might help you better shape your wants/needs. In the consultations, I will run through the day to make sure we don’t miss any space or place that might need flowers.
Key pieces of information to bring to a consultation would be: colour scheme, flowers you love/dislike, or are sentimental, ideal flower budget, and a few images – even a Pinterest board – that starts to help us visualize the vibe of the day.
The Way to Bloom flower packages are bespoke to each couple, which ultimately can be the best deal for everyone as flowers/foliage range a great deal in price so with a bespoke package we can better tailor it to your budget.
Flowers trend just like fashion (Sarah’s former career) you can have classic looks that never go out of style, modern aesthetics that feel fresh, or trendy arrangements that feel so fresh + new that we see them with celebrities/influencers first, then they make their way down into mainstream.
The best advice I (Sarah) was ever given in the fashion industry, is your style fits into every season and that might mean you’re more trendy in one era than another but you’ll never regret staying true to your own person likes, dislikes, and those things you’re obsessed with.
I encourage couples to use this logic – you will always love your wedding flowers if it feels true to you as a couple, right now in this moment. However, I love working with colour because it brings that additional joyful mode to the atmosphere of the day!
My personal must haves (apart from the essential wedding flowers) would be:
– one to two large installations
– dressing up those special people in your life (corsages, buttonholes, bouquets, dog collars
– FRESH confetti.
One to two large installations because when again in your life will you be able take an abundance of photos next to your own, personal flower arch or elaborate mantle piece?!
Adorn your most loved people with a flower or two because it will make them feel so appreciated and special against all the other people there – everyone loves to feel important.
Fresh confetti makes for gorgeous photos of the newly weds and doing it with fresh petals will guarantee that you won’t be finding confetti everywhere for days – this is my warning against dried confetti!
