Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Our photography and film journey started when we first began dating. We both shared a passion for photography and film and this was a huge part of our story together as well as now our business. Having always both had a love for photography and people, shooting weddings was the ideal match for us and after photographing our first wedding everything fell into place and bookings started coming in. So in 2015 when we got married ourselves we decided to make the jump into a new exciting chapter of our lives. Since then we have photographed and filmed weddings and elopements all over the UK and around the world and have loved every second of meeting our awesome couples and capturing their memories.

We are both adventurers at heart and love the outdoors which very much comes across in our photography style too! In our spare time you will find us hiking mountains, wild swimming and going on adventures in our campervan which often turns into a photoshoot or filming project of some sort!

How would you describe your wedding videography style and what makes you unique?

We capture your day as it unfolds with a mix of creative shots. Our goal is to tell a story through our films that evoke emotion and capture real memories, not just posed ones.

We believe that every couple and venue is unique and deserve to be captured in their own way. We use this uniqueness to guide and shape our work around the people and environment around us rather than applying a particular fixed style to every occasion.

We often get referred to as ‘The Light Chasers’ as we always strive to give our couples the very best from their images and will hunt out the most beautiful lighting for them. But more than our passion for pretty landscapes & golden sunsets is our love for people. We are strong believers in getting to know our couples and helping them to feel one hundred percent themselves infront of the camera. We want to capture the tears, the belly laughs and everything in between. Building true friendships with our couples and making an effort with their guests is our secret behind our style!

What type of equipment do you use?

We don’t ever want to feel the equipment that we use to feel intrusive on your day so we try to use cameras very capable of capturing cinematic wedding films but that only take up a small footprint.

Do you shoot in HD? What format will the final version be in?

We believe that story and feeling should always come before the technicality of a film but normally we will deliver a film in 4k on a memory stick and also your own private gallery.

What can you offer couples? Can they customise the package with you?

We offer cinematic highlight videos creatively encapsulate your day with snippets of the vows and/or speeches along with music. You have the option to build your own package, first by choosing the length of your highlight film (somewhere between 3-10 minutes) and then adding on whether you would like to add a 60-second social media edit, a vows video and/or a full speeches video to your package. We always try to be as flexible as possible with our couples and can tailor a package for them to fit around what they are looking for. Nothing is a silly question so if you have an idea in your head – you should definitely ask us!

How would you describe your working style? Will you have an assistant with you on the day?

On the wedding day, we try to be as non-intrusive as possible. We try to blend in with your guests and be friendly faces around at your wedding. We have always found this non-intrusive style the best way to capture those beautiful ‘in the moment’ footage.

When it comes to the couple session, it’s important for us to capture you as a couple. We will always be adaptable with our approach to fit with your personality so please don’t worry if you are shy in front of the camera. Our style is very natural and all the laugher you see in our videos is completely authentic. We will incorporate movement so you will often be thinking less about ‘posing’ and more about just enjoying the moment and going on a walk around your venue together talking about everything that’s happened on your wedding day so far! Our couples are often so caught up in the moment that they forget that they’re being filmed.

What parts of the day do you usually capture?

All of our packages include 10 hours of coverage which asually we are there to capture from bridal prep through to the dancing and everything in between.

How long does it take you to edit?

They will then receive their full gallery approximately 12 weeks after the wedding day but if they are ready sooner then we will of course get the video/s sent over via an online viewing gallery and also on a memory stick in the post.

How long will the final version usually be?

Our most popular film is a 3-minute highlight video but our videos range from anything from 60 seconds up to around 8-10 minutes depending on which package they choose. We also offer vows and full speeches video as separate videos which is the full-length multi-camera film, this is available as an optional extra to the package.

How far in advance should couples book you?

The earlier the better! But as a guide, our couples usually book around 1.5 – 2 years in advance. For couples hoping to get married on a Friday/Saturday during the Spring/Summer, I would recommend getting in touch before your date is set in stone so that we can compare diaries with the potential dates that your venue has given you and find a match.

What are your favourite trends?

My answer to this will change on a weekly basis as I love new innovative ideas and things I’ve not seen at a wedding before. At the moment I am loving the burnt orange colour scheme and dried flowers as I am a big lover of warm tones. I am also really liking the champagne or white coloured bridesmaid dresses we’ve seen this year and I think they will be sticking around into next year too!

What are you expecting to see become more mainstream/more common in the next year or two?

Everyone has heard the phrase ‘the day goes by so quick’ so organizing a dinner party or BBQ the night before and breakfast together the following day I think will become more popular. Eventually, I think once this becomes more common I think this will go one step further and couples will take the approach of destination weddings and organize more elaborate night before parties and day after activities.

What information do you need from the couple before the wedding day?

We have a pre-wedding consultation together before the wedding to get to know each other and go over the details of the day. We want to know what you are most excited about for your wedding so that we can get excited with you and capture your day the way you imagined!

We also have a questionnaire that we send out to our couples which has a mix of ‘getting to know you’ questions as well as running through the details and logistics of the day.
