Hi, I’m James! I created Fox Films to offer couples cinematic, timeless wedding films whilst providing a professional yet calm and friendly approach throughout the wedding planning process and on the big day itself.
Having graduated University in 2009 with an honours degree in film and television studies and production, I have since worked in the film, television, and creative industries before establishing Fox Films to focus solely on wedding videography.
I create natural, candid, and cinematic wedding films for couples nationwide and use film and audio from your day to tell your story. Whilst music is important to enhance the emotions of the day, I utilize the audio from your wedding day including the best moments from your ceremony, speeches, and other diegetic sound to drive the narrative.
My approach is hands-off, allowing your wedding day to unfold naturally with little to no staging. I collaborate with you, your venue and other wedding suppliers to ensure that I can capture every moment down to the smallest of details.
I work as a solo videographer, so the need for a second shooter is only if you’re getting ready in two locations (more than a 10-minute drive from each other) and you would like me to capture both morning preparations on film.
I use three Lumix S5 mirrorless cameras with various lenses and filters throughout your wedding day. I also have a DJI Mini 3 Pro Drone, which is used for establishing shots of your wedding venue, and this is included in my film package*. I also use discreet, professional wireless microphones to capture audio from your ceremony and speeches!
*Drone use: Weather dependent & venue permitting
Shoot in 4k, delivered in HD. If you would like to add on your ceremony and speeches films, these are shot in 4k and delivered in 4k.
I offer one all-encompassing package with both a trailer and feature film included. I also offer a series of add-ons if couples wanted to opt for any, most of which you can add on even after your wedding day. All of this information can be found on my website (www.fox-films.co.uk/info)
Usually 12-24 months in advance to ensure good availability, however, you can book me further in advance. I may also have late availability, so please do get in touch no matter how close or far away your wedding day is.
Key information that will allow me to let you know if I am available for your wedding includes your wedding venue and your wedding date. But please do share anything and everything with me about your wedding plans, I’d love to hear more about you and your story!

Every wedding I attend is completely different, and I take inspiration from all of them from the traditional to the contemporary. I love soft, natural light for morning preparations, golden hour couple shots, candles during the wedding breakfast and plenty of stunning florals.
My favourite trend from a wedding videography perspective is the ‘stripped back’ approach, minimal equipment and being able to blend into a wedding without being in the way.
I expect wedding videography to become as popular as photography. The way that people ingest and interact with media today is so visual (and often video based), and wedding videography offers an arguably more vivid perspective for you to re-live of your big day.
