Cornel has been playing the piano since he was 7 years old. He is a top five star hotel professional pianist with a university music degree based in Hampshire and available for weddings and corporate events in the UK and abroad.
“I have played professionally at venues as eminent as Caffe Florian, Saint Mark’s Square, Venice, where I was house pianist for three years, Gran Caffe Chioggia and Gran Caffe Quadri, in Venice. I have also played on the legendary train The Orient Express Venice-Simplon, travelling Europe, as well as Hotel Danieli, Venice, Cipriani Hotel, Gritti Palace and many more. I’ve also played in London at the Hilton Park Lane, the Renaissance Chancery Court Lane Hotel, Le Merridien Piccadilly, and many more. My work has taken me to Vienna, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro and I’ve been the house pianist for three seasons at the highly respected Caffe Florian, Venice, where I have played for guests as eminent as : Sir Elton John, Nicole Kidman, Martin Scorsese, Pierce Brosnan , Al Bano, Nick Nolte , Oasis Band, Roman Abramovich,Quincy Jones , Akon, Nick Rhodes(Duran Duran) , Prince Albert of Monaco, Princess Al-Sabah of Kuwait, Jacques Chirac , and many others. My band was also hired by the Versace family to play at a wedding and I’ve also played at Saudi businessman billionaire Sheikh Walid Juffali’s wedding in Venice.”
How would you describe your style and what makes you unique?
What makes me unique is that, although I am classically trained, I am just as comfortable playing jazz, or a current song by the likes of Ed Sheeran or Ellie Goulding as I am playing a fantasy by Chopin. What bridges the gap, for me, is Caffe Concert music, of which I have a vast repertoire of music covering classical, evergreens, tangos, waltzes, rhumbas, modern songs, film soundtracks and swing and bossa nova!
Can couples come and see you perform live before booking you?
Gladly. I am always happy to give couples details of my venues where they can come and meet me in person, hear me play and chat about any ideas they might have for their big day.

Do you take requests?
Yes! I am always happy to perform any song that a couple might want, however obscure or particular. I’m more than happy to learn a song from scratch if it makes a couple’s big day special.
How long is your set?
This depends on what a couple wants but in my past work in Venice and on the Orient Express train I have played 16 hours in a row!
If you were getting married, what would be your idea of ultimate entertainment?
A great pianist who would play exactly what I wanted, for as long as my wife and I wanted, while I sip a cocktail!
Do you have any fun ideas to suggest to couples if they book you?
For a real elegant look, to look like a real piano, suitable also for outdoors ceremonies, drinks receptions, etc. I can provide a White or Black Baby Grand Piano Shell. I can also play Bollywood music on the piano if you are planning an Indian wedding.
