The bride, her bridesmaids and family arrived at Cain Manor at 11am and spent the next couple of hours getting ready in the spacious bridal suite before heading down to The Music Room to re-unite with Michael and 120 members of their friends and family.
Jen walked down the aisle with her father Steve, to the acoustic version of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Bob Dylan. Jen’s uncle and page boy did readings during the ceremony and love and laugher filled the room throughout the duration of the early afternoon. The couple couldn’t have been happier when they were pronounced Husband and Wife and celebrated with the drinks on the patio, overlooking the incredible views over the Surrey countryside.
Wedding photographer, Sammy Taylor Photography, took incredible photographs of the couple and their guests, in and around the country house wedding venue ahead of the delicious wedding banquet to follow.
Reception tables followed a rustic theme, with log slices sitting in the middle of each table, topped with pretty jam jars filled with roses and eucalyptus, with candles to add a touch of light. Jen’s cousin owns a florist, Posy & Wild, located in Westerham. The Posy & Wild team took care of all the floral arrangements throughout the wedding and they were truly perfect for a summer celebration.
Instead of traditional wedding favours, the couple opted to donate money to the haematology and Oncology departments at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where Jen works as a nurse.
As a surprise for their guests, Jen and Michael had hired singing waiters who pretended to be Cain Manor staff for most of the evening. Everyone roared with laughter when they found out they were an act; singing, dancing and doing the conga turned out to be one of the most memorable moments of the whole day.
Light up LOVE letters made the perfect backdrop behind the wedding cake which Jen cleverly made herself. A further 30 guests joined the evening party and the story goes round in full circle, as the couple danced their first dance to ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’ – the same song that was playing during the moment of their engagement.
The newlywed couple enjoyed every moment of their exclusive use celebration at Cain Manor.
