Finding the venue

Erika and Michael fell in love with Cain Manor after short listing 3 venues to visit. For them, the venue was the perfect place to host their day with stunning grounds, onsite accommodation, Harpers dedicated planning team and bespoke online planner.

Planning

After a romantic and initiate proposal during a surprise weekend away, Michael and Erika spent the following 8 months planning their blush and royal blue themed wedding.

Finding wedding dress shopping a little overwhelming, Erika decided to work with a bespoke bridalwear designer (Sabrina de Carvalho) to alter a shop brought wedding dress into the dream dress she envisaged. As someone who is very indecisive (her own words), Erika chose 3 pairs of shoes to wear throughout the celebrations – a high heel court in sparkly silver for the day, white high heeled sandals from LK Bennett bridal shoes collection, and finally, a simple pair of ivory court shoes from the Rainbow Club for the following morning.

Michael wore a custom made blue wedding suit from Trotter and Deane, custom made shoes with colour matched stitching from Undandy and custom made shirt from TailorStore. The wedding party, choose their own attire, with consultation of the bride of course, which perfectly suited the blush and royal blue theme.

“The planner was essential and invaluable – we felt once completed and reviewed – we could relax and enjoy our day.”

The flowers

The chosen colour scheme continued to the floral arrangements with white gyposhophila, white hydrangeas, pink keano roses and pale pink lisianthus, to name a few. The bridal bouquets, buttons holes and centrepieces, had an unstructured and textured feel, and jam jars were filled with a variety of flowers (selected from the bridal bouquet), to create an English country garden vibe.

Special touches

The memorable day was filled with special touches, including candles dotted around the venue that the couple had chosen during a Jo Malone scent finding experience, ahead of the wedding. The chose Peony and Blush as their wedding scent. Erika prepared with shower oil, body lotion and perfume before slipping into her wedding dress and heels.

Looking back

The weather was fabulous, the venue  beautifully dressed, and the day was relaxed and full of love. Looking back, the couple loved planning their day and bringing it all together for the perfect wedding.

“Use the planner – and enjoy the whole process – start to finish – love the journey and do it together. Involve the family and make sure everyone has fun. ”
