Tell us a little about yourself?

The experienced Wedding and Event Nannies at our Agency have all been fully Enhanced DBS checked, reference checked and have a combined 100 years of experience in childcare.

The aim is to allow you and your guests to have a stress-free and fun wedding experience, through providing exceptional and engaging childcare services.

We have recently been announced as The Winners of the Nanny Agency of the Year – Surrey, for the Corporate Livewire South England Prestige Awards 2021/22.

What services do you offer to Brides and Grooms?

Our main packages include a 1:1 Wedding Nanny service, which is often used for the main couple on their big day, a Creche environment and an on-site Evening Babysitting Service.

We provide all of the high quality, wooden and gender-neutral equipment for the children who are attending the Creche. The Creche is available for bookings consisting of 4 hours to 14 hours, for children aged newborn to 10 years old and is supervised by Wedding and Event Nannies.

The Creche can provide your guests with peace of mind, and they are more than welcome to pop in and play too! When it gets dark and your bigger guests would like to continue partying, the creche often turns into a cosy, chilled out movie area and we supervise the younger guests having a well needed snooze. This provides your bigger guests with no reason to leave your big day early!

Above all, the Wedding and Event Nannies aim to provide peace of mind and a highly reliable service to ensure that your little ones are expertly cared for on your big day.

What qualifications do you have?

Charlotte, the owner holds a Foundation Degree in Early Years Childcare and Education, amongst a number of specific SEN, Speech and Language, Under 2’s qualifications.

All registered Wedding and Event Nannies are qualified in Childcare. They each hold an Enhanced DBS on the government update service and have been thoroughly vetted via background checks, reference checks and childcare related questions and scenarios.

Each Wedding and Event Nanny holds their own Nanny Insurance.

At a Creche, a minimum of one Wedding and Event Nanny will be 12hr Paediatric First Aid Trained.

How many people would you usually staff at an event?

We tend to use OFSTED ratios as a guide.

What are you expecting see more mainstream/more common in the next year or two?

With the pandemic, we have seen a number of couples become very aware of their own children and also their guests’ children on their big day!

The pandemic has left couples without regular and trusting babysitters.

Our services enable couples and guests to feel reassured on the day, as they can pop in as and when required or their children have a 1:1 Nanny.

We have seen an increase in our bookings with couples and more couples are becoming aware of our agency and the types of services we can offer.

If you were getting married, how would you cater for children on your big day?

Firstly, I would look to the venue and ask whether they have a designated room available for the children to use and explore. In the designated room, I would set up the room according to the children’s ages and their interests. As we can accommodate for children aged newborn – 10 years old, the large variety of toys and equipment are sure to keep all children entertained!

I would look to set-up a smaller babies area nearby the cosy, indoor tepee tent filled with soft cushions, floor mats, bean bags and baby gyms. This area would also look to have traditional stories, soft dolls and teddies. We have a number of sensory toys and resources for children of this age.

The remainder of the room would have large, cushioned floor mats. This allows children to be comfy and be able to engage in their play, whether it be puzzles, board games, a wooden dolls house, giant jenga, a ball pit and tunnel, giant dominoes or explore the non-messy arts and crafts table. The non-messy arts and crafts table would consist of stickers, paper plate crafts, design your own squishies, wreath making, dreamcatcher making, bracelet making, flying and designing your paper airplane and more!

In the evening, around 7.00pm – 8.00pm I would look to turn the creche into a chill out movie area. The older children would have their own popcorn buckets, whilst the younger children would tend to fall asleep on their own pull-out beds, whilst watching a recent movie on the projector screen.

Additional activities can be offered.
