Adapting To Be A Covid Secure Wedding Venue

As England heads into a second lockdown find out how Harper has become a covid secure wedding venue for your dream day.

There’s no doubt that if you were due to tie the knot this year you’ll be feeling the frustration and concerns created by the Covid-19 pandemic. Here at Harper we understand the headache of rescheduling your wedding day, the heartache of cutting your guest list and the worry of waiting even longer.

Although a second lockdown brings new national restrictions, your mind can rest assure that Harper Wedding Venues has put a number of precautions in place in order to prevent the spread of the virus, and ensure the safety of our couples, guests and staff is our highest priority for when weddings return.

How has Harper Wedding Venues adapted?

Cleaning and sanitisation

Cleaning and sanitisation has been heightened throughout the venues and sanitiser is offered throughout the day. On the wedding day waiting staff are sanitising and changing to fresh gloves between each course and each task carried out. Protective masks are also worn by every member of the team, making the venue a safe place for you and your loved ones.

Covid-Safe meetings and tours with our dedicated Harper teams

Harper are one of the few venues that have converted their venue visits into virtual venue tours via screen sharing technology. Couples are given a guided tour by the bookings manager followed by a detailed quote and demonstration of Harper’s bespoke online wedding planning tool.

For the couples getting married at a Harper Wedding Venue, wedding planning wednesdays have been transferred into phone or video calls for the time being. Doing so enables all of our couples to continue wedding planning at a safe distance. This also ensures that no members of the public and only essential staff members are visiting the venues outside of the wedding days themselves.

Body temperature monitoring cameras

Implementing body temperature monitoring cameras at the entrance of the venue ensures a significate reduction in risk to guests and staff. The camera is able to discreetly detect multiple guests at the same time on arrival, therefore offering minimum disruption to the day whilst preventing the spread of the virus.
This is one of Harper’s key initiatives, and on top of this, our exclusive use wedding venues model means that each venue can be sanitised between weddings and essentially acts as a private home for the couple, unlike hotels which have other people and staff leaving and entering the venues.

Harper Wedding Venues’ web cam feature

Harper’s web cam facility provides friends and family, who are unable to attend the wedding during the pandemic, the opportunity to view the wedding celebration with permission of the couple getting married. This specialist tool enables viewers to not miss out whilst conforming to the government guidelines. This feature has received wonderful feedback from couples.

Venue NHS QR code

Harper Venues have displayed separate QR codes across the venues in support of the NHS Covid-19 app. Asking our couples, guests and staff to simply scan the code with the app on arrival helps to trace and stop the spread of the virus.
